- Wedding: May 2010
For a May church wedding w/ an outdoor reception, the bride is wearing a formal white wedding dress, the 4 bridesmaids in cornflower blue tea-length dresses and the groom in a gray sharkskin Brooks Brothers Mad Man Designer Suit. He does not want a tux.
So far we have chosen for the Best Man & 3 Groomsmen: gray dress pants, matching cornflower shirts w/ white ties…and…the 3 Ushers: gray dress pants, white shirts w/ cornflower ties. The pants are a gift to the Groomsmen. Groom is trying to keep their expense down…so they only need to purchase shirt and tie from Mens Warehouse.
If groomsmen are wearing shirts (no coat or vest), is the boutonnier pinned on the shirt or do you just not have one?
Mainly concerned if the groomsmen in cornflower blue shirts are TOO Much Color at the wedding and in their pics. Maybe white shirts with matching blue tie or a gray/silver tie Too many decisions…your opinions appreciated.
