I was typing up an “about me” on another thread and for the age I typed 27, 28 on wedding day; I don’t know where the time went.
Fiance and I met when I was 24 we’ve had an amazing three years of dating and I know the year of planning is going to be so wonderful. Just in thinking about it I just can’t believe I’m going to be 28 when we get married. I don’t actually know why; I think just because those four years will have flown by and I can’t believe I’ll already be 28 or what.
I just had to share, even if it looks like most of the 20’s on here are on the other end of 20.

@linsical: imagine how I feel, I was 18 when I met Darling Husband, got engaged at 26, married on our 10 year anniversary. I never thought the wedding would come and go so fast. 10 years is a long time to be with someone. and I would do it all over again.

@Daizy914: oh i feel you!! Fiance and I met i was 16, he was 17. We’ll get married after our 10 year anniversary too! I’ll be 26, him 27. We’ve already made it passed 9 years, and I really cant believe how fast these past 9 years have gone!

@theEguarantee: right?! crazy?!!!
Its been the best time of my life, I met Darling Husband at a point in my life where I was at my ultimate low and he literally was my lifesaver.
I hate when people say “why did you stay so long, why did you wait so long to get married,” i really wanna tell them to eff off, its none of your business, but I explain anyway, look how young we were, we needed time to go to school, get good jobs, save money, and especially the city we live in, we needed something that was really financiallystable!

I’m sort of the opposite, I sort of always think I’m older than I am. I’m 26 but I feel like I should be 27 or 28. I have no idea why. Now that I think about it that’s really only been since I met Fiance. Perhaps it’s because he’s a couple years older than me, I think we should be the same age. Or because we’ve only been together for 2 years but it feels like I’ve known him forever.

@linsical: I feel ya! I’m 29… I dont feel 29, I feel 25. We’re getting married in just under 2 months, I’ll be 30 before we have babies and thats WEIRD!!! How on earth can I be 30?!?!?!?! lol so yeah, you’re not alone

@linsical: I know how you feel. I met Darling Husband right after my 22nd birthday and this summer I’ll be turning 28 right after our 3rd anniversary and a few months before our baby is born. Like holy crap, how did that happen? Time flippin’ flies, doesn’t it?
When I met Darling Husband he was concerned that I was still really young and that I might “grow out of him.” Nope, I grew alongside him, and he’s grown a lot too. It was funny because he was a bit under 27 when we met, and so we also paused at my birthday when I realized I’d crossed the line where I was older than he was when we met.

@Daizy914: omg i feel like i’m talking to myself!!!! I literally tell Fiance he saved my life all the time. I was also in a dark sad place in my life when we met. And yeah, it took almost 9 years to get engaged, but seriously, we were really young when we met. So the amount of time dating is SO relative. If we met at 26 and waited 10 years to get married, i could see myself not putting up wtih that lol I seriously would not change a single thing about the road we took to get to this point!

Well, I’ve been with SO for 2.5 years, so not terribly long… But we started dating just before my 26th birthday, and I’m turning 29 this November. We’re not even engaged yet! I will definitely be in my 30s when we get married. Oi.

you know it’s funny, i was having a similar thought recently… i’m going to be 26 right after we get married and to me that feels so old. i met my Fiance when I was 21 so I still feel that age.

I hear ya! I’m 24 now, Fiance is 26. We started dating at 16 and 18. We’ll be 25 and 28 at the wedding (a few weeks after his birthday!). He really is my best friend and after all this time I STILL wish I had more time with him!!

I know exactly how you feel. I realized not long ago that I would be turning 28 a few months after the wedding and I was like “Whaaaaattttt?! When did that happen?”. I met Fiance when I was 23, got engaged when I was 26. We’ve come such a far way in those 4 years too. We were just out of college and starting careers when we met, now we’re moving up in our careers, bought a house, and have investments and other adult things. But, the fact that we’ve been able to grow so much together over the years reminds me that he’s the right guy for me 🙂
