Has anyone else gotten your dream ring after getting married instead of buying a band to add to your ering????
We went yesterday and got my lovely 1/2ct princess. When we got engaged i had a 1/5ct from walmart. I wear a cz band since we are married but dont want to wear down my new ring. Plus the cz band is a tad “taller” than the band of the ring if that makes sense. So i dont want to wear it but want to have that “married look”

It’s gorgous, congratuations on your dream ring!
Hmm… well, I don’t wear a wedding band, I’ve never loved having two rings on one finger, but I can understand wanting the “married” look.
Have you looked in to getting a plain band to wear with it? The height difference would bother me too, so I completely feel you there!
My first e-ring was an asha CZ in a white gold bezel, and I still love it to pieces this day, and I’ve had two upgrades since. So, it’s not as uncommon anymore to get your dream ring (or, one of them at least!) after getting married. 🙂

Beautiful! I don’t see any problem with that. In many cultures you only get the fancy ring after getting married, not at engagement. That’s when I received my blingier ring too.
Would love to see a picture of your first ring too!

Your ring is beautuful! You shuld get whatever makes you happy, and getting your dream ring instead of a of a band. Many wedding bands are also incredibly expensive, and the solitare makes more of a statement. I can see how that cz band being slightly taller would be annoying. I am sure you could find something very affordable, maybe even a plain band that will still give you the “married” look.

AdrianaPB: wow that’s a gorgeous diamond and looks bigger than 1/2 carat! I also can’t believe your band is cz, it looks so real!!

Thanks everyone! Walmart has $25 bands in 14k white gold but they feel too thin. I really dont want us to spend more on getting band since we just got my solitaire. I may put up with the cz. Ive seen some on the bee that look a little taller. You have to look close anyway to notice

Your new solitaire is beautiful!! I am not sure I would want something else that would take away from it. I do sometimes wear my ering without a wedding band (I am married). Sometimes I wer my diamond band and sometimes I wear my plain yellow gold band.I dont really love weariing two rings (my hands are in water a lot and I can get a rash under the band, plus I love my solitaire and how delicate the band is. Its not a big stone (.70) but it is very fiery and I sometimes just like the way it dances alone 🙂 I would buy the inexpensive wg band and wear it when you want the whole set look but I would also feel just fine wearing that gorgeous solitaire alone!

pinkcorsage: i think im going to get a plain band. I feel like the reason i cant get totally in love with this look is because of the cz band bc i feel its taking away from my solitaire and i dont feel right wearing it alone (ya knoe bc growing up you dream of a set to flaunt your wife-ness) lmao
