I am so sorry hon!  That really sucks. At least fi is going now right? I almost was the Olny one to go to my fis graduation, his parents didn’t want to close the store for a few hours. Eventually I told them, gee I would be heartbroken if my parents didn’t come to my graduation but I’m sure eventually I would understand ….sheesh.

How far would they have to drive?

No one but Fiance witnessed mine, but my family is all a plane ride away.  He got some great HD video of me, so I will just play that for my family on my laptop.

Yep! I know the feeling!

For my Associates – I got cards and a party.

For my BS, my immediate family attended but no cards or party.

For my MS my SO (now my EX) attended. Not a single card!

For my PhD – I was by my lonesome. No one even uttered Congratulations.

I walked for every degree and I was proud every time. Too bad if others could not value my hard work – now I make more money than any of them so now I have the last laugh!

When things like this happen to me, I buy myself a nice little spa day and say screw them! Make yourself happy, even if a spa day isnt what you’re into, do something for you and let them know how much fun you had if it ever comes up. (And if you’re on a budget like me, groupon is your best friend!)

Oh man, this is so sad! I would come out and cheer you on if I could. πŸ™‚ I know how you feel, though. When I graduated with my MA, I suggested that my roommate come, and she literally laughed in my face and said she had better things to do that day. I guess it didn’t matter that I had gone to see her graduate the year before…
