- Wedding: September 2016
I have been meaning to post but we have been living in our happy newlywed bubble for a little to long. lol
On September 15th I married the love of my life, all on our own and exactly how we wanted.
We arrived in New Orleans 2 days before the wedding. We were staying at the Pontchatrain Hotel. It is a fabously newly remodeled hotel in the Garden District. From the moment we walked in they treated us like royalty. After this trip I will never stay in another NOLA hotel. It was on St Charles’s Ave just a street car ride from the French Quarter: They have a rich beautiful history. Feel free to ask of you want to know more about this beautiful place.
On our wedding day my absolutely wonderful stylist/makeup artist Christina Fitzpatrick came to our room to get me ready while my soon to be husband sat in the bar downstairs drinking for free on the hotel. (Told you they treated us well). Here my handsome man is while I was getting pretty
Once I was ready I met my love and our amazing photographer Pamela Reed in the upstairs bar for a mini photo shoot. All thanks to the Pontchatrain.
From there we we took the trolley to the French Quarter
The trolly was packed but every single person was so kind. Many passengers complimented us and gave us many well wishes. It was a wonderful experience!
We arrived in the French Quarter and our Photographer walked us right down Bourbon St.
And we arrived right infront of the French Quarter Wedding chappel.
It was beautiful and exactly what we wanted.
After we we continued to take photos on the street. The photos were brilliant! And so clearly is
Post wedding Pamela left us and we spent the evening wondering the Quarter. We had made dinner reservations but we missed them. We spent the night soaking in all of New Orleans. The city treated us with love. We got free drinks everywhere, we got congratulations everywhere, we felt like we were family.
At the end of the night we ended up back at the hotel and had their very famous Mile High pie infront of their super cool painting of Lil’ Wayne.
It was honestly everything we could have ever wanted.
2 days after the wedding we went on a cruise on the Carnival Dream. It was truely the most amazing 2 weeks of my life. 😍
