Future Sister-In-Law just had one that was super cute. She’s having a little boy and the theme was “Goin’ Wild”, with animal prints. It was mainly zebra print but it was super cute! The theme they were going to do was Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice, complete with a candy bar!
If you’re interested in the going wild theme I can post pics!

I actually really enjoy baby showers and I don’t have any children!! I’m sorry that you don’t care for them but I always love seeing all of those cute, itty, bitty outfits and things. 🙂 I hope you can enjoy the shower!!

I had a baby shower for my daughter last summer and the “theme” was a tea party. I went to a store and brought big teapots but plants in them as center pieces. Made several diff. types of iced tea had a lot of finger foods things you typically hear with tea parties, small sandwiches etc. Played a few games, and best of all my daughter was leaving, after the baby shower she lived 5 hours away. So gift cards were requested instead of boxed gifts. It was great and no one had to sit and watch anyone open gifts etc.

Oh, naangel just reminded me that my friend’s shower was themed Children’s Literature. It was so much fun to see everyone bring their favorite books from childhood for the baby!

Because my husband’s family lives all over the country, we did a long distance baby shower for his cousin and his wife. We decided on a specific week, and mailed them our favorite children’s book and something off their baby registry. We also scheduled someone different to call them each day with good wishes. They did something similar for my bridal shower too- it was perfect for people who are terrified of showers, you feel special but don’t have all of the awkward games.
