I second “Daughter” by Loudon Wainwright, though I’m not sure I’ll be able to convince my dad to use that one.  My dad and sister danced to a Rolling Stones version of “My Girl” at my sister’s wedding, which was great.  Right now I think my front runner is “Dancing Days” by Led Zeppelin, cause when I think of my dad I think of LZ, and it’s a good, non-lover-ish LZ song….not quite sure how to dance to it, but we could figure something out.  My favorite Led Zeppelin song is D’yer Maker, but it’d be even harder to dance to, and I’m not sure it’s totally father/daughter appropriate.

We’re probably going to dance to “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac. Maybe a little bit predictable, but its always been one of my favorite songs and it is definitely a father-daughter song.

Does he like the Rolling Stones? They do a version of “that’s how strong my love is” My dad and I danced to the Otis Redding version which I loved, the Stones version is a bit more rock and roll.
