I need to get my self organized. We’ve been engaged for almost 5 months and we just set a date which is 6 months a way.
I have no flipping clue what I’m doing. Ha.
Here’s what I have completed:
- Color scheme/flowers picked out
- First dance song/a lot of our soundtrack
- A lot of my family won’t be able to attend due to distance traveled and finances.
We have a whole host of things to do. I’m so overwhelmed. Happy to have a date though.
What advice would you give to a non crafty bride? I am like hitting a brick wall when it comes to decor ideas.
We’re doing a rustic/country theme. Burlap/lace with soft pink garden roses and white tulips. It will most likely be outdoors (I live in Central Florida, maybe by the river/beach).

Pinterest for ideas, ETSY for beautiful decor and accessories, stores like Koyalwholesale.com for decor and food & drink supplies in bulk, and I suggest Weddingchicks.com for free printables as well as ideas and links to other great websites.
Rusticweddingchic.com looks like it has lots of great ideas, so maybe that will help you out as well. Koyal Wholesale has lots of burlap decorations, too.

pinterest is awesome for ideas. Make sure you get a clear vision of the decor you want and not just a bunch of “ooh… That’s cute” pictures, and then set to work assembling everything!
If you are really that non crafty and do not seem up to the task of diy-ing decor aspects, you can either get someone to do it for you at a price (etsy is a good place to start) or you can ask a more crafty friend or family member to help you by showing you and then doing it with her.
6 months is plenty of time to get everything done and ready. good luck!

Thanks so much!
Pinterest is my BFF. I’m also inevitably buying a majority of decor from Etsy.
