My fiance and I have access on the cheap to a really sweet, small chapel on the campus of a historically Catholic boarding school in our area. The size is perfect for the crowd we will have and it has beautiful architecture. It is also available to anyone for use regardless of your religion, which is great because neither of us really identify with any specific religion, we are more spiritualists than anything else. With that said, it IS a Catholic chapel, all of the windows are stained glass with depictions of saints and angels and things, and there’s a huge organ, typical Catholic chapel stuff, haha. Also, since it is a historical landmark, we would be very limited as to what kind of decorating we could do to blend some of the Catholic-ness. Basically, NO decorating can be done other than flowers on the altar.
My question is, would it be tacky for us to have our ceremony here, being so non-religious?
