I absolutley LOVE looking at all these gorgeous gemstone rings. I love how personal they all are. My engagement ring is a yellow sapphire with diamond accents. Sapphire is my fiance’s birthstone, and yellow is my favorite color. So I thought it would be perfect!

Not my engagement but if he proposed with this ring I still would’ve said yes! It’s my anniversary ring πŸ™‚ I’ve posted it on other boards as well. I LOVE IT!

I love this thread! Everyone’s rings are gorgeous!

This is my natural, unheated, Ceylon, violet sapphire. My FH picked out my stone and setting from The Natural Sapphire Company. I love that my ring is a strong color change. In different lights it shifts from blue, to light purple, to dark purple to a mixture of the two colors. Here are some pictures where you can see the color change.

I love alternative gemstone rings, I think they have so much life and character to them! Nice to see a bit of colour πŸ™‚ Beautiful rings ladies!

For those with alternative gemstones (out of curiosity, no way am I looking to get engaged lol), how durable are your stones on a day to day basis? I’m thinking about getting some gemstone jewellery, just worried about how durable they are on a day to day basis

I love this thread! I posted my ering on here before, but I missed this thread.

Here is my ering with my wedding bands I got a few weeks ago. I can’t wait until I can wear the whole set! Laughing

Opal, diamonds, and platinum with a white gold and bitty diamond wedding band. We scoured the jewelry stores for a band that wouldn’t overpower the opal and had just the tiniest curve to go along with it. Deeper curves looked off with it.

The designer has it posted on her website: http://www.leahashley.com/designs/ She loves doing non-trad rings and worked really hard on all of our tweaks to get exactly what we wanted. She said she’s been getting more requests for opal e-rings since ours went up. πŸ™‚
