I have been reading these boards for a time.  I am loving all the non dimond e-rings and wedding rings on here, and now I have finally gotten the courage to share pics of my wedding rings.  My husband doesn’t care for DeBeers, and resents the massive advertising campaign.

My engagement ring is ruby and small diamonds in gold. My gold wedding band was my husband’s father’s.  I love my rings♥

These aren’t engagement rings but I thought I’d share anyway.

London blue topaz with Aquamarines on the side.

I don’t have my pretty yet. But soon! My Fiance, for my birthday gave me the gift of working with a jeweler to custom make my wedding set. I went with a 9mm ( 3 carat ) Tahitian pearl, set in a crown bezel with a art deco craved band with a border. Here are a few pictures of the process so far

I don’t understand how people think diamond is the only type of stone that symbolizes priciness. Top quality gem stones doesn’t cost less than diamonds at all. Here’s my set. Wedding band $2400, e ring $ 23,000.

My partner and I are having our commitment ceremony this coming Halloween. We are both so excited. We decided, right from the beginning, that we didn’t want to spend a fortune on rings. We didn’t want diamond. Yet, both of us wanted an “enngagement” ring. I managed to find him a vintage onyx ring, from the 1940’s. And, he had my ring custom made. It is a two carat CZ. Bright orange. Who cares if it isn’t a pricey gem. It still sparkles, and has that fire to it. It is beautiful, and I love it.

Anyway, here is a pic.
