I have never been a diamond fan…………..  so I knew instantly when we talked rings that I wanted something differnt.  Not sure what, but I knew that I would know it when I saw it……  and boy did I ever.

It is a beautifully cut amathyst set in white gold with two lines of three tiny diamonds each coming up each side to the large cemter stone.  My favorite part is that I have knuckle tattoos and one color on them is a vibrant purple.  They’ll forever match 🙂

I’ll post pics soon when I can figure out where the man of my dreams left my camera.  lol

Ok, never found the camera, lol…………….. but through searching through the web aimlessly I have found a picture almost exactally like my ring.  Cushion cut, white gold, little diamonds, bright amethyst………….  the only differnce is that mine is side mounted.

I’m so happy to see all these gorgeous gemstone engagement rings! Mine is a sapphire, too, and lots of people think it’s cool. Only ONE person didn’t realize it was an engagement ring (although it looks like one to me).

I’m pretty besotted with it…

Hmm, now that I think about it, I need to take some real ring pictures! You all have lovely ones. Time to go read that tutorial…

I knew I didn’t want a big rock – not not my style. instead we found this – it’s palladium, engraved all round with a swirling line and set with nine stones – 3 white diamonds, 3 pink diamonds and 3 blue sapphires. I love it! And I love the reactions I get when people see it – most people are suprised that it’s so different to most conventional e-rings, but those who know me well say it’s much more me.

Not the best picture of it, but it’s what I have. The leaf pattern goes all the way around, and it’s set with three white sapphires- the same type of stones in my promise ring!

@iamblackbird

Thanks! It was made by Stone Designer Jewellery in the jewellery quarter in Birmingham, UK. But it is based on this design from Fischer rings; http://www.simongorgin.com/imgs/products/wedding_rings/sg_1165.html The ring in that link is 6mm, white gold with a mixture of different coloured diamonds. Mine is 4mm, palladium with 3 white and 3 pink diamonds and 3 blue sapphires. I saw the Fischer ring, loved the design, but wanted something a little narrower and in palladium. The shop make as well as sell rings, so they copied/adapted the design for us.
