My Maid/Matron of Honor and I carried a parasol.  I was able to get them for $5 a piece.  Could work for you if you have an outside wedding…

Ooh I made a thread about this a while back too! I think we’re gonna go with wrist corsages for the BMs, plus a satin clutch. My Jnr Bridesmaid or Best Man wanted to carry a fan but I’m not really sure about that.

I think it’s a great idea and way more practical and non-wasteful IMO 🙂 Though flowers are beautiful!

Hey there,

Just found some pics for you of girls carrying balloons. I also love the idea of bms carrying fans, like in the last pic.

I saw a really lovely article in a magazine where a bride had her BM’s carry little lanterns with tea light candles in them – so pretty!

Try these ? I’m not sure what your wedding theme is but these would be great for an antique / vintage touch

One of my good friends had a masquerade theme at her wedding so the ladies carried masks instead of flowers.  It was really cute – the bridesmaids’ masks were red and gold and the bride had a fancy white one that she carried.

I think I might go with Miss Velveteen’s idea. It doubles as a Bridesmaid or Best Man gift and practical!
