@aheavel:  I’m having my mom, Mother-In-Law & 2 aunts set things up before the wedding. Who is setting up the rest of your decor?

I am setting up my own centerpieces. Were allowed to decorate the day  before the wedding.

Our venue will do some set-up, so I’m hoping they’ll handle whatever we decide to do. If not, I might have my groom and his guys set them up.. with detailed instructions!

@aheavel:  If I were you, I’d ask the venue if they could set your centerpieces down after the roses (shouldn’t be too hard for them). If not, then ask a family member/friend. Make sure you give specific instructions either way 🙂

we went in to the reception hall at about 8am that morning and set everything up ourselves.

I had non-florals and my venue did all the set up. I believe it was the caterer (the venue’s caterer) who assumed responsibility, but the on-site coordinator was also there. When there’s so little set up time, the venue often has a plan 🙂 Be sure to ask the venue.

@aheavel:  Yeah we will be running into that problem as well (sort of) we can decorate the reception hall for 8 hours the day  before the wedding and we have to wait to decorate the ceremony stage until the day of the wedding a few hours before the wedding. That’s because theres a play the day before our wedding and were getting married on the stage. Since our  venue is an hour away we have to get ready and get our hair done before we leave town. I know how you feel, I think anything that is getting finished the day of the wedding will be by anyone who can help and then I’ll just run around making sure everything is perfect while they  have the rehearsal without me. lol
