I made button boutonnieres for our guys …

I’ve seen some really neat ones made out of felt flowers, cotton, twigs/branches, etc.

how about buying fake flowers from michaels and DIY your bouts? they have some really lifelike looking flowers and they are pretty inexpensive (plus they always run coupons) – there are lots of tutorials on DIY bouts.

Like Fabric:

or beaded

fiddleheads? – i acutally made these (not these exact ones) out of baking clay for my wedding – you could do any color you want

@galloway111: lol all of them are real but mine will most likely be fake and I may throw a white orchid on my FI’s to have his stand out a little more… everyones wearing black but me and my Fiance wants to wear a little white to let people know he’s important too… lol

Do you have a theme to your wedding? I have a lot of non floral ideas for bird themes and ones with rustic elements. I’ve seen really cute boutonnieres of little mini nests with some moss. I almost used it for my bird accented modern rustic theme. I’ve also seen one that had a little fake bird on it. Also, I’ve seen feathers for a boutonniere. And another one I borrowed from is a wooden heart with the couples initials used as a boutonniere. We used our initials on birch vases and I did a floral boutonniere with a mini heart in it of our initials. But just a bigger heart by itself would be cute with a rustic theme.
