I’d always planned on making my own fabric/brooch bouquet and now that it’s done I’m worried that I might regret not having real flowers on the big day. I love the one I made, it’s very personal, very me, but the beauty and lushness of real floral bouquets keep tugging at my heart!
Have you or anyone you know had a non floral bouquet and ended up regreting it?

I think your bouquet is beautiful. Not the question you were seeking an answer to, but it’s all I’ve got.

My best friend made a brooch/paper flower bouquet for her wedding and she absolutely loved it and still does!

Well, could you have BOTH? You could take some pics with each one and decide that day which bouquet you wanted to carry when. 🙂

I LOVE your bouquet. I had a similar problem as you are having – I made myself roses out of a novel, and I loved them, but then I started feeling bad for not having real flowers and I felt bad enough that I knew it would bug me later on when I looked at our wedding pics.
So I found a really talented florist who is going to take the paper roses I made and incorporate them with a few thistles and orchids so I have the best of both worlds. 🙂

It’s lovely. Maybe you should focus on the fact that you get to keep your bouquet in all its wedding day glory. With real flowers, your only option is drying and puting it in a shadow box or freeze-drying it. Either way, it won’t look the same.

I did non-floral and I have no regrets at all! Of course, real flowers are absolutely beautiful and it would have been just as nice to have them. But I really liked my vision of non-floral beauty and I really love that I still have all of my centerpieces and my bouquet up around my home and I really loved the time I had with the women who helped me put together my flowers. I have a lot of fond memories of making those things.
