Hello. I need some advise.
I was planning on having my bridesmaids buy any long red dress they want, so they can re-use it later on. Obviously the styles will be different and the shades of red will be different amongst the group. Will different shades of red look weird in photographs? I have 3 months until the wedding, so any decision change needs to be made asap.
Thank you for your opinions in advance

My friend did this exact same thing when I was in her wedding. It turned out looking awesome. Unfortunately it was really hard for all of us because she didn’t give us any guidance other than “a red dress” which made things more difficult. So try to be specific and maybe send them some examples and I am sure it will turn out great!

That actually sounds kind of cool!
My only worry would be if a guest chose to wear red. Maybe just make sure that there are some ‘basic rules’ for your BM’s to ensure they all have a ‘bridesmaid flavour’ to what they are wearing.

My sister is doing this! She’s getting married in early December and I think it’s going to look awesome and Christmasy. She told us long red dresses in non-shiny fabric. I just recently bought this one from Adrianna Papell and I’m pretty stoked to wear it.
Heres another photo of a mismatched red wedding party too

cascade2017 : I wouldnt assume people can wear a long red dress again even if you choose it yourself. Also that isnt something people would have in their closet. If you want long red dresses at your wedding say that is what you want, dont make it like you are being nice to your bridesmaids that they can wear a dress again or that they have in their closet. This is coming from someone who has over 100 dresses and loves red. I have 1 long red dress and I have not worn it in the last 20 years even though it fits and I love it. If you truly dont want them to spend money on a dress they cant use again, tell them to wear a black dress to the knee.

I think the different shades will look fine 🙂 My bridesmaids each chose their own dresses as well.
