So I’d been feeling fat lately. This is nothing new, but I’m just shy of having lost 40 pounds this year and it was making me sad to feel fat. I’ve been on a magical plateau/fluctuation journey (my body seems to *really* like the number 275) for the last two weeks or so and I’m bummed. So today I indulged in some retail therapy. I fully realize this plan could have backfired. Instead I bought a shirt at a store I’ve never shopped at before and bought a dress in size…wait for it…18. Size 18! I haven’t worn an 18 since my freshman year of college! And this isn’t a fat girl 18 either, this is New York and Company where they sell normal people clothes. Now, I’m still wearing a 22 in my pants, but I started this journey at a 26. And that makes my new size 18 dress all the sweeter.

That is awesome! Keep up the good work! My victory is also clothing-related. I lost over 40lbs after college, and several months into my journey I was helping my mom clean out some old stuff. My mom was really slim when she was my age and I was never able to wear her cool vintage clothes because I was a size 10 throughout high school and college. She still saved them and as I looked through these clothes, I realized that they now fit me because I’ve lost so much weight. I’m actually wearing one of her vintage belts today.

One of my victories is when I fit into a pair of jeans that I used to wear in high school. I couldn’t believe it!

I was able to do this hardcore (for me) kickboxing routine from start to finish. I am pretty proud of my sad, out-of-shape self. 😀
@adoc86: Nice! That’s one of my goals. Not sure if it’ll ever happen, but I’m still hoping that one day I’ll slip them on “accidentally” and be pleasantly surprised.

I have gone from being able to do maybe 15 pushups on my knees to being able to do over 50, and I can now do toe pushups too (I’m at about 30 right now!) I was always a weakling so it feels great to feel strong !!

Yay you! That is awesome. 😀
Non-scale victory? When I held up my arm to Fiance last night and there was muscle and I wasn’t even flexing…haha.

I can run 3 miles without stopping 🙂

I put on some weight after my really bad car accident last year. Thanks to calorie-cycling, I am getting back to my normal weight! Not only are my clothes now fitting me much better, but my strength is increasing and I can do more physical activities with ease. My knees also do not hurt as much! Priceless!

@luluvohn: Thank you! 🙂 I am so proud of myself! Haha

I had an awesome swim yesterday…60 laps in 80 minutes with some hardcore kicking sets. It’s cool to look back a few months to when I was doing 45 minute swims and couldn’t do more than 10 laps without a rest to see how much more my body is capable of.

We didn’t eat out all weekend and everything I cooked was healthy 🙂

I’ve been losing weight too and recently was able to switch my shorts out for the smaller size that I’d previously grown out of!

- Wedding: August 2013 - The Liberty House
woohoo! I had one recently, I was so excited that I called my Fiance, my mom, and two of my friends and told them haha. In February, I couldn’t wear any of my dress pants, which was annoying because I wanted them for my dance classes with Fiance. At the end of March, I could fit into the larger of the two sizes of pants in my closet, and I was happy about that. But then, a couple of weeks ago (beginning of May), I put the smaller size on for kicks and they fit perfectly. I was soooo happy.

I ran 10k for charity yesterday, despite an epic stitch and an asthma attack I did it!
