Hi, I can not help you but I am pretty sure those nice folks over there at CruiseCritic are helping you out. Laughing I think it was you posting on the Celebrity board asking about airfare – I frequent that board as often as this one. It is so tough to get a good/cheap direct flight for most places these days, hopefully you will find a good route that is cost effective and doesn’t require too many layovers.

@Nic01:  Kayak is also a good place to start for pricing flights, although there are a few airlines whose flights they don’t list anymore.

Hello, i’m from Los Angeles and Ive looked into this before. Pretty much there are no direct flights from LAX to anywhere in the Caribbean including Puerto Rico. I tried looking this up before. There is always 1 stop over and it usually always on average 4 hours or more. And the stop over is amost always in the east coast such as Miami Floria or Georgia Try http://www.farecompare.com and you will see all the airlines special deals and flight options/stop overs etc.

@Nic01:  Are you going to be traveling there for your honeymoon? My Fiance and I have been looking to go to Puerto Rico for our honeymoon in April. We’re on the east coast and most flights invlove atleast 1 stop, but we are also in a smaller city (even though we have an “international” airport). If you don’t mind me asking, how long will you be going and where will you be staying?

The easiest way I use to find out if there are any direct flights to a particular airport is to go to that airport’s website.

Find the list of airlines that fly in to that airport, go to the airline website, then try to book a flight.

The results will tell you if there is a direct flight.

Or, just look at the airline’s flight schedule section.

I know this is an old thread but I have never been to a non stop flight to Puerto Rico and I used to live on the East Coast (and in Puerto Rico at one point.)  There has always been a stop usually in Florida or Georgia before going on to PR.

I also have heard of flights from Houston that I think were non-stop so maybe you could use that as a lay over city.  Also depending on what time of the year you go keep in mind that Puerto Rico does not have day light savings time.  So it will be on the same time as EST for only half of the year.
