Bridesmaid or Best Man here…The bride had a specific idea of the style and color she wanted the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses to be, and also wanted to avoid anything strapless. We looked EVERYWHERE we could think of (online and in stores) and she couldnt find anything she was happy with. Eventually she just settled on a strapless design for us but opted to have straps added on when we went to the seamtress for our fittings. She wanted slightly thicker straps that were slightly ruched on the bottom. Since we’re wearing long gowns, we had a lot of excess fabric to work with after our alterations. So we did have to pay about an additional $20 to have straps added, but it was worth it because I wouldnt have been comfortable in a strapless dress, and it came out looking great! We havent picked our dresses up yet so I can’t take a pic of it but just remember if you find a strapless dress you love, there’s always the option of having the seamstress just adding the type of straps you had in mind. Since you said you want gowns you should have enough leftover fabric(if you don’t have a lot of very tall BM) or to be sure, you could order a yard of extra fabric from the designer.

The designer we went with is Belsoie and I believe they go up to size 28. (The style we have is L2064 in Silver but the color is much lighter/nicer than it’s shown on the website) They have so many universally flattering styles from what I saw. Alfred Angelo was another option and they go up to size 30 I believe. Lots of gorgeous and flattering choices there too!

@cookiecrumbs26: I am acutally looking at using that dress in the same color for my BMs!  If you are going to be getting the dress in soon, would you mind posting a picture?  Thanks!

I have Bridesmaid or Best Man ranging from smaller than a 2 to a 22 and we got ours from DB and went with the

Satin Short Dress with Classic Boat Neckline Style 81591
It was the most flattering fabric and cut on all the girls and looks MUCH better on than in the picture and it comes in a great range of colors and is on sale for 80 bucks!
I would stay away from anything chiffon because it’s extremely clingy.. my sis who has a great body didn’t even look flattering in it =/

Ugh I have this problem… Mine went from 00 to 18 and every single one has a different shape.  Add that to the fact I wanted bright orange and it made it IMPOSSIBLE to find.  I looked high and low and finally went to Davids and selected 6 dresses that I liked and came in orange and let them pick from those.  It ended up with my Maid/Matron of Honor in one dress and two bridesmaids each in two more styles.  I was super frustrated until I finally made my girls come with me to the store to try them on.  I would suggest doing that.  Here are the styles I ended up with:

IDK if @emilygrace07 had the same things with her bm but my larger bm’s chest looked even larger in the dress that came up and around the neck (the middle dress)… the rest was great but that part soooo didn’t work lol

This is one I chose, that I think I will be going with. Like you, my bridesmaids are all over the map in size. My sister, who is a 28W, did not want a strapless or spaphetti strap dress and didn’t want it to be to figure hugging, so I this is what I

found. It is Bari Jay 524
