@spring-bride:  Hi, I stumbled across this board and was wondering if you have a real picture of you in your dress. It is absolutely stunning! I am looking for something like that for mine. Thanks!

Here is mine…Enzoani Evanston.  Actually having the neckline made into “crumb-catcher”.  No pics of me in the dress yet (not a decent one, at least!) but the lovely beaded straps are my favorite part!

@kitkat618:  I’m glad you like the dress I wore!  It’s from the Paloma Blanca fall 2011 collection and is discontinued, so unfortunately it’s unlikely you can still find it.  (I bought it off a sample rack last year.)  Her “classics” collection has a very similar dress, style 4302 (http://palomablanca.com/gown/4302).  And the fall 2013 collection has a somewhat similar dress, style 440, that has narrower straps and a v-neck rather than a round one (http://palomablanca.com/gown/4400).  Good luck finding your dress!

I’m so glad I found this post! It’s a mini support group for straps/sleeves! I’ve always envisioned myself in a dress with straps but nearly bought a strapless because I thought I should just “go with the trend”. But I held out and finally found the dress I love! I’m a big fan of the Grace Kelly/Audrey Hepburn era of dresses.

I never really wanted strapless because I’m a busty lady and I figured I would need the support of a bra with straps in order to be comfortable and look right. Once I saw lace illusion backs I. Had. To. Have. It. So now funnily enough I’m not even wearing a bra with my dress at all. Here’s me in the sample.

Here is my lovely Allure 8634. I’m going to have the bust tacked a little higher. Strapless wasn’t an option for me for a few reasons: 1. Most Catholic weddings don’t allow them. 2. I don’t really  Like them. 3. I am very busty.. And I don’t want my bust to look like someone can rest their dinner plate on them ;). I love the look of the V neck for us bustier ladies! My dress is in “light gold” and I can’t wait for it to come in!
