Thanks! πŸ™‚ I was torn too as to whether I should wear a necklace or not. My Mother and Mother-In-Law were the oThe that convinced me to. I’m so glad I listened to them, it’s good to be a little oveon the top on your wedding day! πŸ˜‰

I don’t have a photo, but my dress is v-neck (pretty wide v-neck) and I am wearing a rhinestone necklace that has the Y-drop pendant on it. Here’s a photo of the necklace.

It looks nice. My only concern is the pendant getting wonky all day long or the rhinestones turning. This sounds kind of weird but my Maid/Matron of Honor suggested a glue dot or some of that bra glue adhesive to keep the pendant in place. I may try it out before the wedding to see if it works with moving my head and all. I am also considering reworking the necklace to be the pendant on a box chain necklace instead of the rhinestone chain.

I personally prefer a little more jewelry for a bride rather than a little less, but it depends on your dress style and overall wedding vibe too. I don’t like seeing a bride with no jewelry though, I think she looks unfinished.

I’m going to have the straps done off the shoulder. This dress has been discontinued πŸ™‚ and this is the stock photo not me

I don’t know if this will help you at all but this is our wedding highlight video you can fast forward to the parts where you see the necklace. Maybe that’ll give you a better idea instead of just seeing how it’s posed in a picture? Haha idk just a thought πŸ˜› http://vimeo.com/45679154

@LilacViolet:  I’m going to wear a y necklace. If we have my grandmother’s victorian gold and diamond necklace that was suposed to come to me at her death I will wear that as my something old. IF someone stole it from her estate which my father suspects I will buy a purple set of crystals in y formation with earrings to match. I am a very jewlery oriented person so no necklace would be unheard of for me. I almost always wear studs though due to having what my family calls the “fairy ear” one of my ears is malformed (I’m actually seriously considering having the left surgically cut like the right after the wedding its something I’ve wanted since I was 16 I’m 32 in 2 weeks) and has ripped several times due to very little ear lobe and is pointy at the top so I’ll do clip ons for the wedding.

@NAvery – Thank you! Haha by all means feel free to steal it! Everyone in my family (my Dad especially) is a bunch of jokesters. I knew my Husband would be a little uptight with the suspense building and all the cameras watching so I thought that’d be a funny little way to break the ice and shake his nerves πŸ˜›

@LilacViolet – Thanks πŸ™‚ Do you happen to have a picture of your dress? Or any ideas as to what necklace(s) you’d go with?
