You look stunning! It’s also how you’re holding your arms in the picture that might be causing you to feel that it’s not as flattering as you’d want. Try not holding your arms directly against your body, but slightly out. It will feel unnatural, but it will make your arms look amazing. I personally don’t see any arm fat or back fat and think you look gorgeous. It photographs beautifully too, so you’ll have some classic beautiful pictures! After your fitted you may feel ever better, because it will be more customized to your body.

Beautiful elegant dress and you look far better in it than the model. Long veil, maybe satin edged? Non dangly earrings and hair up or low updo maybe…

I think it’s very glamorous and you look goreous in it!

You look like royalty. Amazing!!

What fat??? Your back and arms are lovely, and you look beautiful. A properly done chignon will look gorgeous.

Ugh I love this dress on you!!! It’s so beautiful!!! Pp gave great suggestions re hair but if you want to wear it down I can also see Lauen Bacall hair with this dress:-) a red lip and clean eye make up. So gorgeous.

I think the dress is stunning, classic – very Grace Kelly/Audrey Hepburn.
I don’t think you need to do anything to it, but if you were thinking of alterations, you could consider making the sleeves 3/4 length and lowering the neckline slightly so it’s more bateau.

Wow!! I think you look beautiful in it! It’s so lovely, elegant, and timeless!! I think we are all too hard on ourselves. It’s beeeeautiful!

I think it looks really good on you – once it’s fitted it will look better. I see no arm or back fat at all. I don’t personally like that style of belt, I’d probably get something with a little more sparkle and that sparkles all the way around, not just in the center.

Girl, you look amazing! The skirt is beautiful and will absolutely make a statement as you’re walking down the aisle! I think you’ll feel better once it’s actually fitted to you. And keep in mind that everyone has different taste in dresses, but everyone will think you look stunning regardless. Large lace patterns aren’t my favorite, but I’ve never seen a bride wearing one and thought “Hm, she would look nice if it didn’t have THAT on it.” You look fantastic!

Wow, thank you all so much for your sweet comments and and helpful tips. I really do feel better now. I had been feeling negatively for some time and it occured to me that I could get more opinions on this forum. Thanks again to everyone.

When you say more sheer, you mean more “see through” right? The top is actually pretty sheer to the point where you can see my skin color. I just think with the darker room and spotlights, the white comes out more, but it’s pretty sheer.

I guess the next question would be if a cathedral veil would be too much……
Post # 29
yep! But either way it is a beautiful dress on you! And a cathedral veil will look great. Just make sure it is long enough to go past your train. I wouldn’t want it to hit awkwardly and take away from the back.

Really beautiful dress and you look wonderful in it. Yes to a Cathedral veil!
