Im actually searching for a tall rectangular vase for my card box. im going to fill the bottom with sand and shells and then i have wallpaper letters that we are putting right on the glass that says Cards I dont like typical so this is my idea. But I do love thebox from pottery barn the expense is a bit much lol. I would jump on it if my Fiance wouldnt kill me for spending that much .

I really like them, but check with your venue about having an open one like that. Ours requires it be enclosed and locked so that it can’t be said that any of the cards got stolen out of it. We’re using a birdcage, but since the wires are close together and it’s solid at the bottom, it’s ok. Not very original, but just a thought.

You might check with a trophy store for a large glass box, but I wonder too about the security of your gifts.  Good luck! 🙂

we did a birdcage b/c it fit our theme. have you checked out places like ross, marshels, and tj max? they always have all sorts of unique things you could use, for cheap.

I love your glass box idea and Desireenacole’s vase idea too!  So creative!

We’re using an old, rural mailbox (free on craigslist!) and covering it with faux bois contact paper and a bit of paint to fit into our rustic themed wedding.  My sister/MOH is actually tackling the project, and she’s not terribly crafty, so I look forward to seeing how it comes out!  =D
