Friday for sure. Great way to start the weekend!

Sunday's the way to go. No hustle, bustle, or rushing to venue after work!

No matter how much the cost, Saturday is best.

There is nothing wrong with a Friday.  I personally would be happy to have a long weekend if I needed to take the day off!  🙂

Friday evening! But I’m biased, because we’re having our wedding on a Friday night. 🙂

Our ceremony starts @ 6 pm, and reception starts @ 7 pm.

I’m having mine on a Friday, but as a guest I’d be okay with either.  A wedding sounds like a nice way to spend a Sunday.  I think it would depend on the type of wedding – a loud rock party like mine is not a very Sunday thing, but a sweet or elegant type affair would suit Sunday just fine.

We had a Sunday wedding.  It went from 11:30 am to about 6 pm and it was awesome.  I’m sorry to read the blanket statements that Sunday weddings are lame, and that people won’t party on a Sunday, and that fewer people will come and more people will leave early.  We had an 85% acceptance rate, tequilia shots going for hours, and the floor was more packed with dancers than you can imagine.  We were very happy with our choice for Sunday!

As a guest, I would make either one work!  It would be more important to be there for the couple getting married than my preferences for sure!

I voted for Friday…for any out of town guests, it would be like a mini-vacation in your hometown! Personally, I would prefer to take off a Friday from work than a Monday…or worse, go to work on Monday feeling a little under the weather… 🙂

I voted for Friday, just because that’s what we are doing.  In all honesty, I would attend either a Friday or Sunday wedding.  Those people who really want to be at your wedding, will be there regardless of the day you choose, and that’s what’s important.

We had a Friday wedding, I thought it worked out nice. About 90% of our out of town guest showed up and planned a weekend trip out of it!

Uh oh!  My Sunday wedding is going to be “lame!”  Darn it…

One of the venue’s I’m looking at is a lot cheaper for Friday or Sunday also. I’m more than likely going to choose Sunday though if I do choose that one for the wedding.. Just because even if I were to have it on a Friday people would still have to miss work or at least leave early (it is going to be a desitination wedding either way one place is 3 hours though where the other is 9 hours). We aren’t having many people around 20-30 all of which are close family or friends so they will come no matter which day. And I’m hoping the ones that are close enough will just make a mini vacation out of it.

I had my wedding on a Friday and had no problems.  It’s Friday and usually people don’t work on Saturdays.  I would just make sure you had enough time for people to get there after work (traffic) but not have it too too late.  Best of luck!

We are getting married on a Sunday, but the next day is President’s Day, so most of our guests have the day off.  Also, many of our guests are coming in from out of town, so they have time to get there and spend time with us before the wedding day.  I think it will go well, lame or not!

We have more fun with Friday weddings… As a guest you are more jazzed up about celebrating, and still have a weekend to get life things done.  Plus, Sunday nights in general give me anxiety…  But, if it were a wedding of a close friend we were attending, we would probably take that Monday off anyways :)… Good luck with your decision!

I voted for Friday, even though I’m actually having a Sunday evening wedding myself.  But if it’s local, I love going out on Friday night, re-couping on Saturday, and being productive on Sunday.  I actually prefer going out on a Friday to a Saturday.  I think it just needs to be local and late enough that people have time to get there.  Also, not in a place with tons of rush hour traffic.  I’m sure it’ll be great though.
