I’m doing something similar to this photo. A “runner” of petals and candles all down the table in different sizes. I hate the cliche sweetheart tables too!

What is the theme of your wedding? For me, I am using White and Diamonds. I will have diamond confetti on the table and my bouquet will be the centerpeice. I’ll have floating candles on the side of the centerpeice with orchids on the bottom and really thin decorative twisted silver wire in it.

@missbeaglelove – Ooooh, I like the photo for your inspiration.  Very pretty.

I’m not sure if ours was “modern” as much as it was “simple” (that’s not the word I’m looking for but I can’t think of what I want to call it…).  Of course it was cuter before all the dishes were added.

@jackie_t4701: We are putting LED lights under a lcae table cloth so that we have some sparkle to our table.

I originally bought these to put on our sweetheart table. We are having a peacock theme. I walked past a vintage shop and saw a second pair…so now I am buying more (hunting for them…want six more sets) and they will be on some of our tables as well. I am then going to use candles and a floral arrangment incorporated on the table. My wedding is now taking on a vintage theme as well..gold accents and feathes. I can’t wait.

@ellistan – Thanks!!! Just got a second pair today…so now I have 3. YIPEEE. I’m still stalking them. I think they will go great with the room, especially with the candle light.
