Some of the smaller, designer boutiques may not have sizes that fit you, but I don’t think you’ll have any trouble at David’s – I’m pretty sure they have two samples (one smaller, one bigger) of most dresses.

I believe DB carries up to a size 24 or 26, and they have multiple sizes of most of their dresses (every dress I tried on came in my size or near). I agree with melodicsighs1 that you might have trouble at a boutique, but you should be fine at DB.

You will definitly not have a problem at David’s. I am, and saw tons of other, curvey girls when I got my dress. Good luck!

you will have NO problems trying on David’s Bridal Gowns.  They have a very good stock.  Yes if you are a 16/18 you will probably be like  20/22…  but dont be discouraged, they will have ALOT!  I didn’t go with a Davids Bridal dress, just because I found a 2be Bridal I liked better, but I do think DB is a good starting point, you can get a feel for what you like, don’t like, and who knows, you may even find the one:)

Also, who are you taking with you?  I wouldn’t suggest you take a bunch of people.  But take someone brutally honest, and not in a caddy kind of way.  But in your best interest kind of way. LOL  if that makes sense.  (my friend took me bridal shopping with her because she knows I’m honest… and one time I had to say “girl, take that dress off, you look like a drag queen”)  That is brutal honesty.  But I seriously was NOT about to let one of my best girlfriends walk down the aisle in that thing (a gown from Group USA)!  When she found the perfect one (at davids bridal:), we both cried, it was beautiful and perfect for her:)

Good luck, and most of all…

HAVE FUN!!!!!!

I took a very dear friend shopping at davids and almost every dress they sell was available in her size (street 18) or a size or two larger.  She found her dress there as the smaller shops didn’t carry her size, but she and her Darling Husband both thought she it was perfect for her and she was beautiful in it.

I dont think you will have a problem at all! Also, call around to some other shops in your area and ask about their plus size selection. You may be surprised! Im sure you will have a great experience either way!

@samanthaajox3:Oh girrrrrrrrrl do not fret, I am a size jumper too. I normall wear 22/24 sometimes 26(gasp!). I went to David’s the other day and they found PLENTY of dresses for me to try on. I also went to an upscakle consignment shop, they also had plenty for me. I am going to schedule an appointment at another shop, Luxe Bridal Couture. They only offer gown for size 12 and up. Just have fun with it! 😀
