Here is the dress that I am looking at but not in the rose color (beautiful but I just couldn’t pull it off). To me it’s a very romantic shade of pink and the pick-ups and light beading make it very elegant.

Well…after a lot of thought (and stressing out) I think I’m going to go with a custom made gown, I got a very reasonable price quote from yourfairytaleweddings on etsy (I think that’s the name, another bride on here recently posted pics of her gown) She loves working with non traditonal gowns, and loves an edgier look, which is me, her quote was around the same price as the maggie dress, and if I’m going to spend that much money, I might as well get a perfect custom dress exactly as I want…my Fiance said to go for it, we have room to adjust in our budget, so…I guess doing some more DIY stuff to make up for the dress cost, I’ll keep everyone updated!

WOW! I don’t think you should go for a soft pink, it’ll look like you compromised (if a vibrant pink is your everyday signature shade). If you want a deep vibrant pink I think you should just go for it! Just keep the embellishments simple as the colours adds enough WOW factor, otherwise it will look like a teenager playing dress-up and going overboard. Have you thought of a veil? A birdcage and flower might look better if you are thinking of a matching shade. Or match the colour of the embellishments on the dress. What other colours where you thinking of for the wedding? I love this idea, but it will be hard to pull off. Have you thought of fuschia/raspberry with gold and chocolate?
or with pale green and brown?
Or, and I really love this, a fuschia/navy/silver/pale green combo. Very sophisticated!
or silver/gray and yellow (I also love):
Good luck! You don’t need white to be the bride! I was also considering fairytaleweddings so please let me know how it works out!!

Thanks, I’m actually putting my deposit down for her on Friday. Have you checked out her facebook page? it has tons of her gowns on there. I really liked her because she has two businesses. The wedding dress one, and a gothic clothing one as well, and since I’m kind of gothy normally, I figured she’d be perfect to incorporate the two ideas.
This is what I finally decided on, after much consideration.
(ignore the polka dots)

I am considering a quinceanera gown myself. I really like the big flouncy princess ball gown and they are much more within my budget. Yes they are a little ostentatious, but I think that is what I like about them. Until I started looking for dresses I had never heard of a quinceanera because Im in Australia. But I kept coming back to them, I really love some of pnina Tornais big gowns too, but gosh way out of budget lol. and I want burgandy.
