@Ugoob: Non-traditional meaning non-diamond, or…? I think I might have misunderstood your post. You had a non-diamond ring, but your fiance replaced it with a diamond ring later, right? Are you asking if you should wear the old and new rings together instead of a wedding band, or what?

If it means something to you, that’s all that matters. I think it’s a great idea!

Is it a band? or does it look like an engagement ring?

either way you should do what feels right to you

I think it’s a very sweet and sentimental way to make your wedding set and save money. Any photos of e-ring #1 (now wedding band) and your current ‘new’ e-ring? I’m trying to picture this first ring, if it’s more band-like or more similar to a 3 stone or something. Either way, if you like it and are proud to wear it, then rock it!

Now seeing what they look like, I think that it would be very cool as a wedding set. I like it…especially since it’s already sentimental…I say GO FOR IT!!Laughing

I love it and think the set would look great together.

Also if you really wanted to I bet you could get a custom design and have the band wrap around the solitaire.

Either way I don’t think you’re crazy at all!

Will these go together?

Saw this topic and thought that you could see another traditional ering with a black/white “band”
