Hey guys! First time poster – long time lurker here (mostly for the pretty shiny jewelry)
My fingers have been getting a little ring itchy lately. I’m currently not wearing anything as the ring I had previously worn from the beginning of high school (I’m 19 now) has been worn down too much on the bottom part of the band that it kept breaking. It has a bit of sentimental value to me, so I decided to return it to my mother to lay in a jewelry box for now.
It was a gorgeous yellow gold, with an oval cut emerald surrounded by diamonds in a sorta Princess Diana sapphire ring kinda way, although much smaller. It was the only gift my biological father ever gave to my mother before he decided that he didn’t care about either of us, but a part of me has always somewhat enjoyed that I have /something/ from him, in this weird way that it’s hard to explain.
My significant other and I are not at the boy of engagement in our relationship, we’ve been together almost two years, closed a long distance relationship (Canada to US) last year, and have known each other for over five years now.
It’ll be my 20th birthday in a few months, so I was thinking of giving him the information of a ring that we can go halvsies on, because I don’t feel comfortable with him spending a large amount of money on one, so I feel like it’s better if we split the costs.
Now, for what I’m looking for: a white gold ring that will withstand my job which requires that I use my hands frequently, in a size 8.5-9. I work as an overnight/early morning flow member for Target, so I’m constantly banging my hands off metal, and ripping open boxes. I’m looking for something in the ~300$ range and I’m not expecting any bells or whistles – just something to fill the empty space on my finger that I’m noticing.
Thank you for actually reading my rambles, and I apologize if I was confusing!
Updated with photos: Sorry if they’re huge. I have links if anyone wants them.

There are lots of white gold rings under $300. Can you be more specific in what you want?

I know I’m being very vague, but I honestly can’t decide! I’m pretty much open to anything! If you have a few favorite feel free to post them, but I’ll also do some searching and update the post with photos of what I like to help out. 🙂

Are you wanting something similar to the ring you used to wear? or something different. If you want a stone what type and size?
You could always get a ring you love, and just wear a stand in to work if you are worried about damaging it. If you do not want to wear a stand in your best bet would be a low set, maybe a bezel type setting like this:

Are you looking for something with stones, do u want a wedding band type thing, do you want to replace the Princess Di type look? There are a lot of rings to choose from out there! Do you want gold, or are you ok with silver?
You can check Berricle – they have hundreds of choices of rings – all under $300 – mostly in silver, but a few in gold – I found one – it’s s topaz in yellow gold – costs $132 – http://www.berricle.com/marquise-white-topaz-10k-yellow-gold-woven-solitaire-ring-0-24-ct-jewelry-r818-y.htm
or I would suggest searching something like Etsy and see what catches your eye. You can filter Etsy by price – I know most rings are over $300 – but you might find a good deal

Post has been updated with photos of rings I would wear 🙂
I know I’m being terrible with not knowing what I want. But I’m honestly such an easy-going person that I would wear almost anything you guys picked out. Including a bezel like what you showed. I just have just a difficult time making a decision – which I why I came to the Bee for help.

Unfortunately due to skin sensitivities I do have to stick with gold. Because my previous ring was yellow gold I was looking towards white gold, but I’m open to either color and almost any style!
I’m definitely going to take a look at your link, though All of my examples were found from Etsy for under 300$.

Have you looked into rose gold? It’s a good compromise. You can easily find antique and new rings on Etsy with gold/stones for under $300. You can filter by price after you search. Check out the store of ARPELC, I think you would like his designs, and most are in your price range.
