@cincilover:  I like dresses that aren’t the tradititional ivory. Think that dress looks so pretty, it’s your wedding day so wear what you love

I think it’s super pretty. Also, blush/pale pink dresses are becoming more and more popular for brides, I don’t even really consider it a non-traditional option anymore. My main concern would be to make sure that shade of pink flatters your skintone, depending on the colour and your skin tone, some hues have the potential to wash you out or blend in entirely.

I love wedding dresses that aren’t the traditional white/ivory! I’m not a huge fan of the blush color since I’m not a fan of pink but I think it can add a special standout element to the wedding. I had my wedding dress dyed a reddish-tangerine color! I loved it and people still talk about it, which makes me so happy that it was memorable 🙂

Love wedding dresses in different colours. I have since I was little and I still do. As long as that’s what you want to do, I think you should go for it.

You’re going to hear many different opinions, some in agreement and some contrary, but at the end of the day, you have to tune them out and just consider what you want (because everyone else isn’t wearing your dress…you are).

@cincilover:  It’s beautiful, so romantic and princessey in just the right way. It’s your wedding day, I say go for it! You might want to spread your decision about colour through word of mouth, though. It would be horribly embarassing for a guest if she chose to wear a light pink dress and ended up matching you. I’m always secretly kind of terrified about that, especially if I know the couple is pretty non traditional and the bride likely won’t be wearing white. It would be a cute surprise, though.

ETA: That colour is amazing with your skin tone, you look like you’re glowing!

I think it’s gorgeous! But I would echo what @peonyinparis: said about skin tones, because gorgeous as it is I know it would look like crap on me, sadly.

The dress is SO beautiful on you! If the veil weren’t white we wouldn’t even notice that the dress is blush.

I’m not wearing white. I’m wearing sort of a blush/mettalic. 🙂 And I’m thrilled since I look like I’m dead in white or ivory.

That being said I don’t want my flowers, or my veil, or any one else’s dress to make my dress look less white. I had to make this clear to my family that no “cream” dresses on mothers etc were going to be OK.

My one piece of advice is DON”T ORDER A DRESS UNTIL YOU HAVE TO IN ORDER TO GET IT IN TIME. If your wedding is really 2.5 years away like your profile makes it seem I’m afraid you’ll be like many many brides on WeddingBee and come to regret the dress you ordered early in the process.

I didn’t get the pirincessy ball gown, but I did get a blush wedding dress! I love it and say go for it if you do too!  No regrets here.

I think the idea of “the bride MUST wear white” is completely outdated! We all know why pure white was the color women were supposed to wear, and I am willing to bet most of us don’t fit into that category anymore. Which isn’t to say that you CAN’T wear pure white, but it’s definitely not a tradition I think we need to be held to.

Personally, I love ivory, champagne, peach, pink, light grey, light blue… I’ve even seen a super pale green gown that was just amazing. We’re past the days of social standards and norms dictating our intimate lives, so let’s shed the image that pure white is the only color a bride can wear. My dress is a creamy champagne color, and I can’t wait to wear it!

Btw, this conversation always makes me think of Miranda from SATC when she’s looking for a dress to wear when she marries Steve. I have the following video playing on repeat in my head:

The first 12 seconds says it all.

I think the color is beautiful… its not some extremely wacky color, and the dress is still very bridal, so I say yes! If you love it, rock it!
