I had the identical issue.  I had two showers, one of everything else.  Not everyone made it to every event, but almost everyone made it to at least one!

Same issues here. We didn’t have an engagement party, rather just went to dinner with a majority of our bridal party.

I am planning on having two bridal showers, one on each end of the state. If it doesn’t work out than it wasn’t meant to be. I feel bad asking my family to fly up here for the party and turn around and fly up for the wedding too.

I would do a shower up north, a shower/bachelorette down here- and if it were me I would the wedding down here. Honestly it is SOOO hard to plan a whole wedding when you aren’t in the area! Plus the OC has some awesome venues! Check out Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano~ I’m getting married there next weekend and it’s great!

I have the same problem, all of my family is in the central valley and I am the only one down here and my fiance’s family is down here too….so we’re doing the wedding in S. California and I know my family won’t be able to attend the Bridal shower or maybe my Bachlorette event, but at least they will be with me on my big day which is what really matters.
