I need your help! Well fh and I have been pretty indecisive on wedding plans thus far. Initially, we were going to go to Colorado for a small wedding, but we feel the cost of airfair, hotels, and the lack of people we would be able to invite made us decide it was a no go. We also feel we haven’t prepared enough, so we are going to push the date back to the week of march 18yh. I really have the idea of a lovely intimate outdoor wedding, and I’m hoping I can use the land where my grandparents house used to be in Paris, Texas. I’m wondering though, do you think weather will be kind on us? I don’t want it to be hot like it is now, and really don’t want to push it back any further. But y’all know Texas weather is crazy, rain, even snow can happen. Do you ladies think we will be ok in this lovely unpredictable weather?

In march it should be really nice, but you are right about texas weather very unpredictable. I know your wedding will be great no matter what. Maybe use the weather Almanac to check previous weather on that date?

I think that March potentially has some of the best weather for TX, but I would for sure have a backup plan. Got married in Rockwall 3/10/12 and it was rainy and the high was in the 50s…for the next week after that it was sunshine and highs in the 70s.

There is no way to predict the weather, but March is usually a fine time. It could still be chilly, especially in the evening but I think March is usually a good weather month. Do you have a back-up plan for if it rains though? You really should have a back up and not just hope that it doesn’t rain.

This may be a dumb question, but would renting a tent be a good “just in case”, or would it be too flemsy? They have an old shop/ barn type thing, but it just has too much stuff that even withthis far out they wouldn’t be able to clean it. Its right down the road from their new house so if needed we could wait it out. But I’m just trying to go as inexpensive as possible.

I think that as long as the land you’re having the event on is higher (so that rain isn’t going to pool on the ground) a tent could be a good backup.
