We’re getting married at the Mountain Terrace in Woodside, CA (it’s near Palo Alto). It’s gorgeous! We fell in love with it as soon as we stepped in. Our ceremony will be on the lawn in the woods and the reception will be on their outdoor patio with a firepit. The venue is a little pricier than what you stated (4500 for a Friday or Sunday in Oct and 7000 for a Saturday) and you must use their in house caterer ($65/person food + $30/person drink package which includes beer and wine). I know it’s pricier than what you originally stated, but just thought I’d share.

sofabean :  I was trying to think of the name for this place! Its gorgeous. We considered it but its a bit pricier than we wanted. OP this is an expensive area for a $3000 budget. I think you can find something that works but you might have to be a bit more flexible. 🙂 Good luck

EMDEsq :  Hi, I just saw your post — I looked into how you could get married at the state capitol!  How does it work?  I tried the website but have no idea.  Are you referring to the capitol steps? Or is there indoor space?  We want to have our reception at the Elks Tower and the State Capitol for the ceremony would be so perfect! How can we reserve it?

eellis88 :  I’m getting married in September @ UC Berkeley Botanical Gardens in their Redwood Grove. GORGEOUS and under your pricepoint.
