What kind of venue are you looking for? Do you want something where you can bring in your own vendors or are you looking for all inclusive? What’s your estimated guest count?

I also have a budget of $10,000 but we have a guest list of 200. I think it depends a lot of the number of guests and the style/type of wedding you are looking for. The places that I looked into were:

1. Sunset Events Center

2. Edgewater Pavillion

3. Tapestry House

4. Inn at City Park

5. Ellis Wedding Ranch

6. Drake Centre

7. Garden Room

8. Fountains at Loveland

9. Fort Collins Marriot

We ended up going with Ellis Wedding Ranch because they had the capacity, allowed us to bring in our own food and are in the foothills. Do you have a budget for what you want to spend on the actual venue?

@whatsherface04:  I’ve had a few friends that had their reception at the Garden Room and have had a really good experience. The place already has a lot decor, so you wouldn’t have to do much DIY decorating.

The Tapestry House looks kind of pricey, even in the winter. You might look into hosting it at the Marriott, if you think their catering prices are right.

Ellis wedding ranch is $2500 for a Saturday in the winter and $1700 for any other day. Ellis is really popular, so they may be booked and it’s got more of a country/western/vintage feel. They provide tables, chairs, linens and some lights.

I don’t know if Sunset Events center is too pricey or not and I don’t know of anyone who had their wedding their.

Are you looking for any particular city?

A bit late on this, but I figured you might still be looking.

My wedding will be at the Garden Room. They’ve been great to work with so far. They are open every Tues from 4-7 and Saturday from 12-3 for you to pop in to look without an appointment – very convienient! I think March is still in the “off” season for their prices.

Another lesser-known option is Club Tico which is right next to the pool in City Park in Fort Collins. I didn’t look in to it extensively because we had already decided on the Garden Room, but they have a low hourly rate and you would bring in your own catering, etc., so that usually lowers costs. http://www.fcgov.com/recreation/clubtico.php

I found pictures of a wedding there and I thought it looked really fun! http://harperpoint.smugmug.com/Weddings/Weddings-2011/Elise-Rob-Wedding/18731426_New Husband2Wcq#!i=1453754101&k=ZbkLbWF

Good luck!

@ColoradoGirl:  Just out of curiosity, do you have any idea what the rates look like for the Inn at City Park?

Late, but I’ll say I had the Tapestry House booked five years ago with my first engagement and they were AMAZING to work with. They included things lots of other venues didn’t and the vendors, particularly the caterer, gave me a wonderful deal on food for 150, alcohol, and cake simply because be enjoyed the venue so much. The indoor reception area is nicely decorated already and the outdoor doesn’t need much of anything with the landscaping/flowers. The owners were fantastic to work with!

My husband and I are disappointed we couldn’t use it for our July wedding (would have been weird)…it’s just beautiful!
