No, that’s pretty much the standard quote that I’ve gotten, too!  I REALLY like the look of those chairs, but it would just put us way over budget.  We are getting our chairs through our caterer.

One thing to keep in mind with rentals like chairs, tents and such is that a lot of caterers offer them as part of their overall cost.  While you might be able to save some money on the actual rental cost if you go through an event rental company, you have to pay for delivery and setup.  We did a cost comparison and found it was more affordable in the long run to just go through our caterer due to the delivery and setup fee that others were charging.  It’s also nice to just deal with one vendor!

Not sure exactly where your wedding is, but we are getting married in Loudoun County, Va.  Our caterer is Six Star Catering and Events.  http://www.sixstarcatering.com  They’re based in Winchester so they’re a bit more affordable than those that are based in DC and Northern Va.  If you haven’t found a caterer yet, you might want to give them a try.  They were great working with me on the overall cost of things.  I am actually going to see them soon to take a look at their rental equipment…who knows, maybe I’ll go ahead and splurge on the chairs anyway.

If you haven’t booked your venue yet, I know Piedmont Golf Course in Haymarket is buying chiavari chairs so you wouldn’t be charged any extra, they’ll be part of its standard wedding package.
