Yep, I’ve been on the trip. The Sky is an older ship, not as updated as some of NCL’s newer ships. It’s also not very big. The only itinerary it has is a 3 and 4 day Bahamas trip. Still, I didn’t think the trip or the ship was bad. However, keep in mind that I live in South Florida and I was just doing it as a weekend getaway (note: I went on the 3-day cruise, not the 4-day). If it were my honeymoon, I probably would have felt differently and opted for one of the newer/larger ships.

As for the ports, Nassau is fun if you’ve never been, especially if you like shopping. I’ve never stopped at Grand Bahama Island before so I am not sure what attractions they have. And their private island is just like all other cruise lines’ private island… nothing to do except lay on a beach chair (which may be just what you’re looking for, but if you wanted ‘attractions’… there aren’t any on this island).

If you want more details, just let me know. Hope it helped somewhat.

I have been on the 4-day! We got it for $99 total/each person! For the price, it was well worth it to us. It was a mini-vacation and our first cruise. I’ve since been on one other cruise with RC and didn’t like it as much as NCL. Grand Bahama was small and not much too do but shop, walk/lay on the beach, etc…we found a cute place to have lunch outside for authentic food and then went back to the ship. For the price and what you get, we loved it. The ship is older, but I recently got something in the mail, that they’ve redone it again with more activities, restaurants, etc. so it doesnt look “old”. We loved the eating whenever you want, their speciality restaurants were really good and reasonably priced and the excursion options were great too! All in all – we had a great time! 🙂
