Our one year wedding anniversary is rapidly approaching this October and I find myself thinking a lot about what I was doing a year ago this time. In August I was thinking “aww I was getting ready for my bridal shower at this time”, and “how exciting it was to start receiving RSVP’S!” Now it’s September and I remember how excited I was to start the one month countdown and finish up all the fun DIY projects. I guess I just can’t believe that we’ve almost been married a year! Where did the time go?? I am SO looking forward to celebrating our anniversary!

I had an amazing wedding, but I have been thanking my lucky stars every day as a newlywed that I don’t have to plan a wedding anymore! My engagement was long and went by very slowly. Life as a newlywed has gone by so fast it’s almost cruel.

I’m in the same boat. I was thinking of this very thing last night and all the anticipation that was building as the wedding day drew near. I was also recalling how calm I felt around this time last year – vs. the week prior to the wedding!
It really is amazing how quickly the year has gone by!!

I’ve been married only 2 weeks as of tomorrow, but last Saturday, just after we’d landed back at the airport from our honeymoon, my husband said, “This time last week we were just leaving our reception…” It was cute he was already thinking back like that. I imagine I’ll do a lot of “This time last year…” thinking next year… though like PP have said, I am HAPPY to be done with planning for and stressing over the wedding!

@oracle: I’m glad I’m not the only one!
@ohheavenlyday: Congrats newlywed! What your husband said is too cute. 🙂
