Mine was £24K (equivelant to about $32K USD). Its a 2.49 carat diamond. My partners budget was around £30K so we were way under budget, we are looking to use the £6K on the wedding band now.

I have two beautiful diamonds and I am embarrassed to say what they cost – but the ring I am wearing the most right now is a beautiful $2,000 moissanite in a halo with a diamond band.

$2,250 for my engagement ring (8.5mm moissanite) and $1,600 for the wedding band.

We picked out the ring together – about $2600 I think. Fiance was willing to pay more, but I dislike big gems and didn’t really want to be wearing something very expensive!

Fiance gave me a budget of $15K. My ering came out to be $12.5K. My wedding band will be around $2300.

My engagement ring was around £4500. Platinum with 1.02 carat emerald cut and channel set princess cuts. It was made by an independent jewellers in Chester, UK.

My wedding band is platinum with channel set baguettes and cost £1200. Bought in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter.

Here’s a pic!

Mine was £1950, it’s 0.74ct, D, SI2 (eye clean) on 18k rose gold from the jewellery quarter. I could not be happier, we had a budget of £2500 and I fell in love with the stone and it came under budget so was a no brainer.

I’ll play! Mine was less than $2k, though I’m not sure of the exact price. We met and got engaged (and now in 2 weeks married!) in under a year so there was no time to save up! My diamond isn’t the top quality (in the good-very good cut range) but it was what we could afford given that we also are paying for the wedding ourselves using his army savings while he is in school. Once he finishes his degree and has a job we’ve decided to upgrade the quality of the diamond (though prob not the size) – we live in nyc where we see mind-blowingly beautiful engagement rings – I do get a bit envious of so much sparkle but what I’m most happy about is that we’re doing all of it with 0 debt. That makes me feel like waiting will be worth it in the end πŸ™‚

I think it’s so fun that many ladies are participating! And no judgements… all of our rings are beautiful and even more so because we love them πŸ™‚

I kind of had a journey getting to my current (and final!) engagement ring:

1st one: $200 (diamond)

2nd one: $75 (sapphire)

3rd one: $2200 (moissy)

The One: $1440 (diamond)

Needless to say, I have a very patient and understanding hubby πŸ˜‰

In the pic, top to bottom is oldest to newest!

Mine was $8500. The diamond is just under a carat, e color, vs2 clarity. It’s a solitare setting, but some filigree details, kind of like Verragio but much much more subtle. Here’s a picture from the designer’s website because I can’t get mine in focus to get a good picture!

Mine was $3400… $1400 for the center sapphire and $2000 for the setting.  I wanted Fiance to cut back costs and get 18k white gold instead of platinum and lower colored diamonds, but he insisted.  The setting would have been like $1300 if he hadn’t gone with D colored diamonds and did gold… but I have to say, I love how white the sides get.  And sorry… I can’t choose just ONE photo!

littlemoon :  thank you!  It’s the reason I went with a gemstone.  I love Color and wanted a pop of color produced from nature.  It was the part Fiance and I worked together to choose.  Because I’m picky and high maintenance when it comes to color πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
