I just wanted to vent about something really quick. I ordered wedding favors with my name, a male nickname, and my fiance’s name (also a male name) and the date on them. So the favors have two male names and a date on them.
I get an phone call from the vendor asking if my purchase order was correct. She said, “I saw two male names on the favors. I wanted to make sure that was correct, and that you know, you weren’t one of those [meaning gay] couples or something.”
So what if we were? You wouldn’t make them for us? I asked her this, and she said “her company doesn’t support that kind of business usually.” WTF does that mean? I didn’t pursue it and placed the order, but the more I think about it, the more it pisses me off.

I think people should know what company this is so we can avoid it. Bigotry shouldnt be supported.

Ugh. Some people are so ignorant. My fiance has a unisex name, and once in conversation with a friend of a friend I mentioned him and this guy interupted me with “Ew, are you a dyke?” First off, interupting is rude! Second, why would it matter if we were a same sex couple?! And third, Dyke isn’t really a politically correct word, especially when used in a derogatory way.
If you hadn’t already placed your order, I’d suggest you take your business elsewhere. Too late now I guess.

call back. cancel your order. i just know i couldn’t sit and look at my favors knowing what type of people they came from. icky.
or something less painful. you could just write a review about the company stating what happened like you did here. your favors are already ordered and while it was rude of them, i can understand not wanting to start the process again elsewhere… especially if they won’t refund you.
