We always have a big dinner on Christmas eve with fish and/or shellfish. I think it is an italian tradition (though we are not italian). Last year it was lobster and scallops, and delicious. For actual christmas, we often have lamb or something fun and different like cornish game hens.

Christmas Eve we always have fish (which I can’t eat).  Christmas day, always turkey.  Some of my family used to do ham for boxing day, which I hate, but my aunt hated it too, so she would make a small amount of Swedish meatballs, just for the two of us.

We do seafood, (Lobster, seafood casserole, bacon wrapped scallops and shrimp) Christmas eve because my Fiance si full bloded Acadian and I am half. We also do Turkey for our Christmas day meal as well as meat pies. You can bet that a holiday involving Acadians and Irish/Scottish decendants is celebrated arround food.   🙂

For our American cousins; Acadians are the cousins of your Cajuns who were originally French settlers who were expelled from Nova Scotia Canada and settled in the New Orleans area

Some sort of roast beef – tenderloin, tri tip or prime rib if you’re feeling fancy!

I like to have ham on Christmas. I just had turkey on Thanksgiving and ate on it for days. LOL

I love brown sugar on my ham too, btw!
