Welll I am a plus size 16 and I am proud of my curves ๐Ÿ™‚ However, I didnt wear a fitted dress. I dress pretty modestly, that was my only reason for getting an A line dress vs. a fitted dress. So I aint much help but here is my thoughts…

I honestly dont recommend buying a dress before you try it on but lots of girls on here do. I thought I would like the flowly, goddess type dresses but once I tried them on I realized how awfu I look in them ๐Ÿ™‚

But since you have tried some on that you like mabye try and find one online that has the same shape? the hardest part is finding the shape of the dress you want. at least it was for me!

Good luck!

I’m in the same boat – I think I’ve tried on just about every dress in my size in a 50 mile radius.  I’ve picked out two or three and backed away from them for one reason or another – I’m now going to have someone make me a dress.  I just have to decide which I like and want made.  Kind of in the same boat as far as not trying it on and hoping I’ll like it.

Here’s a few that I liked – I’m very narrow at the hips, broad at the shoulders and about a 14/16 in street size, so 18 and 20’s fit me depending on the designer.

Have you tried any Juliette by Mori Lee dresses? They are a plus size line and designed for curves.

Here is one I tried on and felt great it.  I’d change the bust line to a sweetheart, but you can get the idea ๐Ÿ˜‰

This is a size 10 dress, but my measurements pointed to a 12 and even 14 in hips, but ordered a 10 and it fits perfect
