so I live n australia and thosegorgeous personalised ailse runners are like no where to be found here so I ordered one from america.
went to th chapel on the wkd to make sure the lenght was all good and the chapel wont let me have it 🙁 They said it is too dangerous. It is on wooden floors and it does move a little when you walk on it but I really dont think it is “dangerous” anyway Im not allowed it!
Now i have to decide between:
1. red carpet ( wouldnt be a problem but my girls are in soft pink and it just wont go 🙁 )
2. no runner at all – bare wooden floors
3. put fake petals along each side to make a sort of aisle.
What are ur suggestions??? Illpost a pic of the actual chapel itself

Maybe you can ask if you can use it for pictures after the wedding. You also can hang it from the wall at the reception.

I would do the flowers on hard wood. I think it will look much nicer than the red runner and I’m sure no one will even pay attention to the fact that they’re fake pedals.

Could you place the aisle runner over the red carpet? That way the carpet would keep it more in place. If not I would say petals on bare floor.

I like the petals on the wood floor.

I also vote for petals. If you can afford it, it’s beautiful.
You could put the runner down on the floor at your reception, and everyone can see it walking in the door.

It seems like I’m the only one who thinks you shouldn’t spend any more $ on something that is just going to be covering the floor! I would go with bare wood if you are concerned about the red and pink contrasting. I think it would look beautiful and won’t detract from what people should be looking at – you!

I think the red runner looks fine. I walked down my aisle which was slate stone and it was hard and I had to be very careful! I would feel more comfortable with carpet!!
