Maybe you can ask if you can use it for pictures after the wedding.  You also can hang it from the wall at the reception.

I would do the flowers on hard wood.  I think it will look much nicer than the red runner and I’m sure no one will even pay attention to the fact that they’re fake pedals.

Could you place the aisle runner over the red carpet?  That way the carpet would keep it more in place.  If not I would say petals on bare floor.

I also vote for petals.  If you can afford it, it’s beautiful.

You could put the runner down on the floor at your reception, and everyone can see it walking in the door.

It seems like I’m the only one who thinks you shouldn’t spend any more $ on something that is just going to be covering the floor! I would go with bare wood if you are concerned about the red and pink contrasting. I think it would look beautiful and won’t detract from what people should be looking at – you!

I think the red runner looks fine.  I walked down my aisle which was slate stone and it was hard and I had to be very careful!  I would feel more comfortable with carpet!!
