I bought my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses and in the flurry of excitement I didn’t realize they didn’t even measure me or the girls. Looking at my receipt they have ordered a 6 when I am usually a 0-2.
Is this common not to be measured and being ordered a dress which is at least 2 sizes larger?

@Ong18: Some bridal dresses run small, so you might need a 6. Depending on how the sample fit they might have guessed based off of that. For example, if they thought the sample dress fit perfectly, they might have ordered the same size. I would call and ask to be measured though.

That sounds strange. Maybe the dress you tried on was a 6 and they ordered that size without measuring because it was a good fit?? I don’t know, I’d call the shop.

I would call them and find out what the deal is. I can’t imagine a salon “guessing” about what sizes to order.
