Your dress is beautiful, and as long as you love it — that is what matters. My dress was definitely not what’s “trendy” right now (v-neck, organza without any beading/lace/etc.), but I loved it and it felt so “me”. Do what makes you happiest, bee! 🙂

That dress is gorgeous! Never be ashamed of having classic taste

I think it’s a nice dress, if you like it and will feel beautiful in it on your wedding day that’s all that matters, put aside any thoughts about being fashion forward. You can be fashion forward in other areas of your life!

I’m very confused by your concern. Your dress is gorgeous and definitely not what I would call “safe”! When you said that I was expecting a plain satin A line (nothing wrong with that). It’s totally up to you if you want to look around some more, but that dress is great.

The dress you picked is amazing! I think we all have similar feelings because there are so many amazing dresses out there and most of us will only get to wear one. I think your opinion on the dress prior to seeing what everyone else is wearing speaks volumes. Own it!

You don’t have dress regret, you have comparison angst. Bet some of your coworkers are second guessing their choices too after seeing your beautiful Gemma.

I had no idea they allowed exchanges. Good to know! Not that I ever would. What dress did you end up with? The Georgina is beautiful (hell ALL of Vera classic dresses are).

I think you look beautiful in your dress. Love the way it fits on you!

Oh gosh, your dress is beautiful!
I can appreciate how easy it is to doubt yourself. I bought a classic one like you and saw the Pallas, Steven Khalil etc and freaked and bought a Pallas dress as well (you could probably find the thread of me getting people’s opinions in here actually) and long story short, I wish I just stuck with the original.
You choose it because you love it, you’ll doubt yourself another thousand times before the wedding but it’s gorgeous and you’ll feel great one the day!

Your dress is gorgeous! If you love it, that is the important part!

Classic is never a bad idea! 🙂 I LOVE Vera Wang items. 🙂

I totally feel the same way!! I bought mine but now after seeing what my friends are getting I fele like I got something too plain and I’m missing out on my offortunity to be a princess.
I keep reminding myself that I can change the look of my outfit big time by accessories. I got a short dress so I think I’ll be able to dress mine up with some fun shoes and heair pieces etc.
I think your dress is really great! Maybe try photoshopping some flowers in front of the picture and see if you feel better about it.

You don’t really choose the dress, the dress chooses you. You put it on and then WHAMMO!! Sometimes it isn’t what you had in mind or even thought you would look good in. My daughter went to purchase an oatmeal lace blingy mermaid gown and ended up with a Vera Wang WHITE ballgown with no ornamentation on it whatsoever. She put it on and it was like INSTANT PRINCESS and the tears came and that was that. If you put on your friend’s Pnina, fab as it may be, it’s probably not YOUR look or YOUR dress!!
Now if you didn’t have THAT dress momemt, it won’t hurt to look around at a few more but it’s really a VERY beautiful dress and I’m sure you look lovely in it!

girl your dress is gorgeous! keep it! if you want to make it look a little more fashion forward , i would recommend losing the belt. I took the belt off mine and it immediately changed the look to a more “couture” dress. Mine is from the 2014 Alvina Valenta line 🙂 absolutely in love with it!!

I feel like I’m stating the obvious. But, who cares what the hell other people are wearing. I don’t know about others. But, I wear what I like and if others don’t like it they don’t have to look at it or me. One of my girlfriends a few years back told me I dress tacky. I think she meant it. But, I thought it was funny. She also stated she felt my jewelry was too large in size. Again… Don’t care. I just do me.
