Good for you, stick up for yourself and do what feels right, not what he is guilting you into doing!

Good for you–he sounds like a piece of work. Your brother was the right choice.

What you said is exactly the reason why you didn’t choose him and if it were me, I would make him aware of it. The people who will show up to your wedding are the ones that will mean the most to you and vice versa. Your wedding will go on and you will have a great time whether he is there or not. Sperminating your Mom is not a good enough reason to walk you down the aisle, in my opinion. Not attending your wedding will be his loss, not yours. Good for you!!!

Yeah… if he wants to be a spoiled brat and kick his feet around in a tantrum let him.  It is your wedding and your choices.  I also told my bio dad that he was only going to be invited as a guest.  If he is upset then he should have thought about the way he treated me for the past 20 years.

@mandb122: It sounds like you made the right choice, and I agree with the above posters – his reaction to this backs up the choice you made. If he decides that he doesn’t want to attend over this, it’s his loss, not yours. You’ll be surrounded by the people, family and friends that love you most.
