I plan to do the bouquet toss cause all my friends like it and cause I got a specific bouquet made to toss so I dont have to toss my own. I’m skipping the garter toss….I think its creepy
@sosewmama: We didn’t do either one at our wedding. And no one really said anythign to us, and our wedding was far from boring, was a ton of fun.
I did however, present my bouquet and toss bouquet to my mom and grandma…had the DJ call them to the center of the dance floor and I presented them to them. Figured I danced w/ my dad and Gpa, wanted to give my mom/Gma some love.
I agree that each couple should do whatever makes them happy. As long as you’ve got food, music, and people who are happy to celebrate with you, there will be plenty to entertain everyone, even without a garter or bouquet toss or line dances. For our wedding, rather than tossing my bouquet, it will be used to decorate our sweetheart table, placed in a vase together with the two nosegays that our mothers will carry during the ceremony.
Do what you want OP :] I also think they are silly and kinda trashy.
I really didn’t care to do either, but Fiance insists that we do cause he wants to do everything in the reception so I’m doing it for him, but now after reading all these responses I kind of don’t want to now…scared of being judged 🙁
