    I really like the second dress… do you like it BETTER, or just as much? Or just differently? IF you can afford to spend the $$ and you like the second dress better and you think you will be happier wearing that one, then go for it. Dont do it if it’s going to put a financial strain on the day, your first dress is also lovely.

    I am not a fan of the halter straps on your dress. I think it would look great without it even thou you just added it…sorry jmo

    I think it would look nice with a beaded sash added too it!

    After re-reading, you haven;t tried it on or anything? Do you think you could find it, try it on and have it in time for the wedding? You might just be adding un-necesairy stress 😛

    @risingsun:  I think if you can afford to get the other dress (with the alterations and all that)  and you don’t mind losing the money you spent on the first dress, you should go for it. I would have a hard time giving up the money I had already spent, but that’s just me.

    I think your original dress is beautiful and really compliments your figure! I also love the second dress but keep in mind that alterations will add up quickly. Have you tried on the second dress to see how many alterations you would need? If you have the money and the alterations would be limited (maybe just the hem) then maybe it would be worth it to you to switch.

    @weddingbound:  I second this.  A beaded sash would really add some umph to your dress; were the straps added for support or because you just prefer the halter neckline?  My thought is to try and tuck in the straps during the ceremony and then wear them during the reception, if wardrobe malfunction while dancing is the concern.

    I think with the time you have left, and the fact that you haven’t tried this new dress on, you should stick with your current dress.  Maybe scour CL or local sample sales, if you really want to change dresses, so that you can try them on.

    I got a second dress very similar to the one you posted that you want to get, so I think it is beautiful! However, I love the first dress on you too. I got a second one because I felt extremely uncomfortable in the first one. If you feel like you would regret NOT getting the second one and you can afford it, get it! You can consign or sell the first one and try to get money back for it! If you choose to keep the first, it looks beautiful on you so don’t worry!! Good luck

    @weddingbound:  Agree with this.

    I voted for the second dress.

    I like dress 2 better. But would you even be able to get it on time for your wedding if you chose to go with it?

    @weddingbound:  I absolutely agree with you.

    @risingsun:  I just read your response to the PPs. I know you don’t want strapless but the one on your dress doesn’t look like it’s placed right. Adding a necklace would help breakup the skin between neck and bust. At this point I don’t think you have much of a choice but to keep what you have. I would call DB and ask if they have 2 but if they do not have it in store it will not come in in time for your wedding. They will quote you 2-3 months for arrival.

    If you have the money to get the dress you really want, I say go for it. This is your time to shine! 🙂
