The ever so popular Jonathan Cain song is going to be my song to walk down the isle to. I like it/love it/almost cry every time I hear it. 🙂
Problem being my mother and my fiancee say theirs no ‘umph’ in it to sort of cue when I’m coming- (no climax maybe i should say). Its pretty true but not sure how incredibly important it is.
Also thinking perhaps the other girls could walk to something instrumental like it and I come down to the bridal march- any ideas?!

@laurathemidwife: I know what they mean by “umph,” but YOU will be the umph. So just decide what YOU like most. That’s the most important.
I am struggling with the same thing with my song if it is any consolation. I chose “Grow Old With Me” by Youngstown, but there isn’t a good “umph” in this one either. Everyone so far likes it, but it is just aggravating ME! I’m still searching but I may keep it, I don’t know…
A song with a really great climax like that is “make us one” by cindy morgan. My friend used it in her wedding, and it was gorgeous and really makes the moment more emotional.

i used it and LOVED it! I used the part RIGHT before you really hear the “here comes the bride” part that everyone knows. We opened the door at that part and everyone stood up pretty much as soon as you “heard” “here comes the bride”.
my bm who HATES the bridal march almost cried when I played her this version.
