Recently my Fiance and I decided to add his nieced to our bridal party. She will be carrying a sign saying, “Uncle ______, here comes your girl”. Last week I bought t-shirts for the flower girls and ringbearers. My question is what type of shirt can I order for her. I have been searching, but everything has “Flower Girl” on it. Can anyone think of a cute saying/catch phrase???? I don’t want her to feel left out, but if I am going to purchase a shirt I need to get the order in ASAP!

I would just consider her a flower girl. Flower girls don’t have to only carry flowers.

You can always glue a flower to that sign or put some in her hair if the title “flower girl” doesn’t sit well if you sans flowers.

Herald – Herald of the Bride

@Mathis13: I think shes still a flower girl. How old is she? If shes older than ~8 I would call her a Jr. Bridesmaid maybe..? But I actually dont know what a Jr. Bridesmaids does so maybe not lol.

@sheepandbear: She is 8 or 9, butI don’t want to use the term “junior bridesmaids” because I have two older nieces who are not in the wedding and would have loved to have had that title
@drummerbride: I have 2 flower girls already–3 just seems a bit much
Ugh!!! I am totally stumped!

Herald of the Bride is cute.
Or “Flower Girl” with the quatation marks? What about ‘Bride’s Girl/Gal’?

I think the best options are those suggested previously that most closely state her actual role: banner bearer, herald of the bride, etc. What a sweet way to involve her – that’s a memory she’ll always have to treasure.

Agree with julies1949: this person is not your “standard Flower Girl”. I think the title of Page is far more suitable.

OR if you want to fashion the idea after “British Royalty”… you could always bestow the title of Page of Honour (the person who is the attendant to the Queen at the most formal of events)

Hope this helps,

@This Time Round: I like page of honour! I was looking for something that was functional and would look cute on a shirt. Thanks!

TO @Mathis13: … you are welcome, glad to help. And it goes nicely if you ask me… kind of like you’ll have a Bridesmaid of Honour as well (aka the Maid of Honour).
And it is kind of cool that it is rooted in a “real tradition”… the Queen has someone who takes care of her… and you as the Queen on your Big Day… has someone special too.

PS… I have to say, I sooooo LOVE the idea of her sign…
Lol… Look out “Uncle ___ here comes your girl !!”

@Mathis13: I wouldn’t sweat it, we have 5 flower girls since we couldn’t pick out of our nieces. I think most guests will end up thinking she is another flower girl anyways.
